LOCATION, Location, location!!! Lake Placid is centrally located, a quaint small community loaded with lakes, history, and murals all throughout the town. The location is quiet, away from big city sirens, but just a one tank trip to the excitement of Disney, Key West, or either East or West Coast. It doesn't get much better than this! Lake Placid is the Caladium Capital of the world. The caladium fields are beautiful! We have a clown school, a train depot museum, and my last count included 45 murals painted around town.
